Candidates should note there is potential for additional hours in the subject area. The additional hours will be appointed and funded separately through the Department of Education processes. Sacred Heart School is a brand-new school for pupils with designated abilities termed moderate and severe and profound general learning disabilities. Some pupils may have an additional diagnosis of autism. This new purpose-built facility is located on the campus of St. Finian’s College, Mullingar. Senior pupils follow the Junior Cycle Level 1 and Level 2 Learning Programmes, alongside the primary curriculum.
There are six pupils in each class, who are supported by four special needs assistants and the class teacher. External tutors are supported by the class teacher.
