Announcement of significant additions to Mullingar Community College
Longford and Westmeath Education Training Board is delighted with the announcement of a major new buildings project for Mullingar Community College. The announcement was made by Minister for Education Norma Foley when she visited the school on Thursday 3rd March.
The project includes several new general classrooms, science labs, science prep areas, art rooms, technology, technology prep room, music room, a user assisted WC, 2 class based SEN units, a DCG room, principals office, canteen and staff room.
The Chief Executive of LWETB, Ms. Liz Lavery, has warmly welcomed the announcement stating that this exciting development will provide state of the art facilities for students attending Mullingar Community College.
LWETB Director of Schools Youth and Music, Mr. Brian Higgins said it will be a great boost to the community and the news is very welcome as the school is growing in numbers year on year.
Principal of Mullingar Community College, Seamus Mohan, is delighted with the news and would like to thank all those involved in the background of this project in order to make it possible.
Mullingar Community College is one of eight second level schools in Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB), providing high quality learning opportunities with student centred educational services through its multi-denominational, co-educational post-primary schools.
