Bord Oideachais agus Oiliúna an Longfoirt agus na hIarmhí Glao ar Sheirbhís

Tá Bord Oideachais agus Oiliúna an Longfoirt agus na hIarmhí (BOOLI) ag lorg eagraíochta a bhfuil taithí aici ar sheirbhísí oibre óige a chur ar fáil do dhaoine óga. Tá an tionscadal seo á bhunú de réir scéim UBU Your Place Your Space (UBU) atá maoinithe ag an Roinn Oideachais agus Óige (DEY).

Misean na scéime UBU:

“Tacaíochtaí lasmuigh den scoil a chur ar fáil do dhaoine óga ina bpobail áitiúla chun cabhrú leo dul i ngleic le cúinsí dochracha agus a lánacmhainneacht a bhaint amach trí fheabhas a chur ar a gcuid torthaí forbartha pearsanta agus sóisialta.”

Tá BOOLI ag lorg eagraíochta a dhéanfaidh na nithe seo a leanas:

1. Cleachtas maith a léiriú maidir le fís, modheolaíochtaí, rialachas, comhlíonadh, dearadh clár, seachadadh agus measúnú.

2. Tuiscint shoiléir agus tiomantas a léiriú don obair óige mar phróiseas oideachais neamhfhoirmiúil do dhaoine óga.

3. Taithí a bheith aici ar obair le daoine óga spriocdhírithe idir 10–24 bliain d’aois a bhfuil riachtanais chasta acu, ag baint úsáide as modheolaíocht oideachais neamhfhoirmiúil.

4. Oibriú i suíomh lasmuigh den scoil, lena n-áirítear tráthnónta, deireadh seachtaine agus laethanta saoire scoile.

5. Tuiscint a bheith aici ar nádúr agus riachtanais daoine óga atá ina gcónaí i bpobail faoi mhíbhuntáiste agus freagraí cuí a thairiscint.

6. A bheith in ann freagraí éifeachtacha a cheapadh agus a thomhas do riachtanais an ghrúpa spriocdhírithe.

7. Tiomantas a léiriú do chomhroinnt leanúnach foghlama agus comhoibriú.

Is é an 7 Deireadh Fómhair 2025 ag 14:00 an dáta deiridh le haghaidh Glao ar Sheirbhís críochnaithe . Ní mór an Glao ar Sheirbhís a chur isteach go leictreonach chuig an seoladh ríomhphoist thuasluaite. Is freagracht gach iarrthóra é a chinntiú go sroicheann an Glao ar Sheirbhís BOOLI roimh an spriocdháta. Measfar Glaonna ar Sheirbhís a sheoltar chuig aon seoladh eile (seachas an ceann a léirítear thuas) nó a fhaightear tar éis an spriocdháta mar neamhbhailí.

Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board  Call for Service

Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB) is seeking an organisation with experience of providing youth work services to young people. This project is being established in line with the UBU Your Place Your Space (UBU) scheme funded by the Department of Education and Youth (DEY).

The mission of the UBU scheme is:

“To provide out-of-school supports to young people in their local communities to enable them to overcome adverse circumstances and achieve their full potential by improving their personal and social development outcomes.”

The organisation that LWETB is seeking should:

1. Exemplify good practice in relation to vision, methodologies, governance, compliance, programme design, delivery and evaluation.

2. Demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to youth work as a non-formal education process for young people.

3. Be experienced in working with targeted young people aged 10-24 years with complexity of needs, using non-formal educational methodology.

4. Operate in an out-of-school setting, including evenings, weekends and school holidays.

5. Understand the nature and needs of young people living in disadvantaged communities and offer appropriate responses.

6. Be able to devise and measure effective responses to the needs of the target group.

7. Be committed to on-going sharing of learning and collaboration.

It is the responsibility of each respondent to ensure that the Call for Service submission reaches LWETB before the deadline.  Call for Service submissions sent to any other address (other than the one indicated above) or received after the deadline will be deemed invalid.
