New Youth Work – Minor Grant Scheme 2022

LWETB is now accepting applications under the Minor Grant Scheme (for the Provision of One-Off Additional Supports to Young People) 2022.
The Minor Grant Scheme 2022 is open to those youth services/youth centres or clubs which are operating or will operate during 2022 under the following headings:
a funded organisation receiving targeted youth funds, i.e., UBU (max grant €30,000)
Youth Information Centres funded through DCEDIY approved grants (max grant €30,000)
a youth club/group which is eligible to apply for or is in receipt of a grant under the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme (max grant €1,000)
It is a condition of the scheme that any funding awarded must be spent within the year in which the grant is awarded. Therefore, applications should only be submitted for funding which can be fully completed, vouched and accounted for by 31st December 2022. No funding can be carried forward into 2023. There is a limited amount of funding available and not all applications may receive funding on this occasion or may not receive the full amount requested.
Grant funding will be available for the following:
Youth related activities, including trips, events, etc.
Maintenance – particularly any maintenance deferred due to cost pressures
Operational or administration non-capital purchases or significantly increased costs outside of the control of the organisation
Programme costs – particularly any activities that were to be deferred or at risk due to cost pressures outside of the control of the organisation
Volunteer training for youth clubs (e.g. mentoring, First aid, Children First, general administration)
